#401 Specs

These race quality headers have less than 3" of variation in primary tube lengths which is most critical from 4000 to 5500 rpm. 

  • Specify 8.2, 9.2 or 9.5 block when ordering.

  • Specify primary length when ordering (30" to 33.5").

  • Prices shown are with removable collectors, add $145 for fixed collectors.

  • Designed to fit all Windsor blocks with 289, 302, and GT40 standard cast iron heads and most aftermarket heads such as:  Trickflow Wilbert hi-port, Trickflow R, Dart, World Products, Edlebrock street, Edelbrock Race Victor, Canfield, Brodix standard, Brodix N351

  • Transmissions:
    C-4 & C6 will require moving the transmission dip stick or using a "flex" dip stick.
    AOD require hack sawing interfering "ears" which can be done in the car.
    Power glide requires major modification to the adapter plate.

  • Lakewood Shield will require trimming the flange at several points.

  • Power brakes ok on all sizes except 2" where power brake booster must be moved.

  • Air conditioning ok on all sizes except 2".

  • 1979-85 fuel lines are on the left hand side and will need to be moved to provide adequate clearance on all sizes.
